That’s a Lot of Quarters

Former Donkey Kong champion Steve Wiebe will be trying to beat the current world’s record of 1,050,200 points, held by Billy Mitchell, at this year’s E3 video game expo.

In order to further motivate the gamer, a prize of 40,004 quarters ($10,001) has been offered to Wiebe by the makers of Stride gum. The gum company will also give Wiebe a year’s supply of gum if he breaks the record.

E3 is scheduled for June 2-4.
