City Lights Up the Big I

New landscaping has already made the Big I prettier by day. Now, it should be prettier at night, too.

Mayor Martin Chávez this week unveiled new lighting that will showcase the interchange by lighting up flyover columns. It’s part of plans to spruce up the intersection of interstates 25 and 40.

The lights are energy efficient, Chávez said. They cost about $200,000, funded through voter-approved bonds.
