Neighborhoods, bobcats, etc.

Wednesday notes from City Hall:

  • Mayor Martin Chavez has a neighborhood conference scheduled this weekend.
  • Councilor Michael Cadigan announces passage of legislation ensuring council oversight of developer commitments in neighborhoods.
  • The weekend raft race is on again, this time scheduled for Saturday.
  • Councilor Don Harris is seeking about $400,000 to purchase land near Four Hills. It’s needed as part of a nature preserve along Tijeras Arroyo for bobcats, coyotes and other wildlife. Plus, I hear humans like the place, too. I’ll have more on it later.
