Submit your pet photos online at ABQjournal.com/fetch. The contest starts today; the deadline is Oct. 1, which is also when voting begins, and you can vote until Oct. 16.
Please submit a high-resolution image that can be reproduced for the calendar.
Plans are to have the calendar printed and ready for sale by mid-November, in time for the holidays.
The price isn’t firm yet, but expect it to be about $6. We’ll have more details when winners are announced. Sales will benefit Watermelon Mountain Ranch, a Sandoval County nonprofit shelter.
We’ll feature a photo each Friday on Fetch!, to encourage you to send us your pet’s photo, but not to influence your vote.
If you’ve already submitted a picture to ABQJournal.com, it’s OK to send it again for the contest.
“We know that best friends are forever and that pets are an integral part of the family,” said Dayna Gardner, vice president of the French Family of Companies, parent company of Best Friends Cremation Services and contest sponsor. “We can’t wait to showcase New Mexico’s favorite companions and support such a key organization in our community like Watermelon Mountain Ranch.”
