To nominate or vote on a burger or for guidelines, visit www.newmexico.org/greenchilecheeseburger . There are also opportunities to vote or nominate in person. Visit www.newmex ico.org for upcoming culinary tours.
Any New Mexico-based company that serves a beef, bison or veggie burger with cheese and New Mexico green chile is eligible to be included on the culinary tour being put together by the state Tourism Department.
In-person nominations can be made at the New Mexico State Fair, Sept. 11-27, in Albuquerque. Look for the department’s Big Yellow Bus, where forms and a ballot box can be found.
Ballot boxes will also be available during Santa Fe’s 400th Anniversary Kick-Off Weekend at Fort Marcy Park on Sept. 5-6, and at the Whole Enchilada Fiesta in Las Cruces, which takes place Sept. 25-27.
