Albuquerque pollster Brian Sanderoff said Thursday that he expects combined voter turnout in the Democratic and Republican primaries to be in the low 30 percent range.
He said turnout in the GOP primary might end up being slightly higher than in the Democratic primary because a hotly contested race for the GOP gubernatorial nomination could increase GOP voter interest in the election.
