Four sign agreement; three others in negotiations
An Albuquerque city official said four young adults who recently broke into the Rio Grande Zoo after hours and posted pictures on Facebook of themselves posing with animals have agreed to plead guilty to criminal trespassing and do community service at the zoo.
City public safety spokesman T.J. Wilham said the four signed the agreement on Friday. Wilham said they are not being identified until a formal criminal complaint is filed next week.
Three other suspects are in negotiations to come to a similar agreement, but two more have not cooperated with police, Wilham said.
