Kiera Hay writes about Santa Fe city and county government for the Albuquerque Journal's Santa Fe/North bureau. An award-winning reporter, she's also covered local business and sports for the Journal.
Kiera is a northern California native with a degree in English Literature from the University of St. Andrews in Scotland. She was lured to New Mexico in 2004 to study classical Asian philosophy and literature at the Graduate Institute of St. John's College.
When she's able to tear herself away from Santa Fe government, she enjoys watching bad television, reading Chinese poetry and taking leisurely hikes with her rescue mix Stella.
