The unemployment claims system website, www.dws.state.nm.us, will be available from 3 a.m.-8 p.m., and the unemployment insurance toll-free phone option, 877-664-6984, will be available 24-hours a day for normal self-service functions. Banking institutions and the U.S. Postal Service will be closed. This will result in a delay of banking transactions for unemployment insurance debit card and direct-deposit benefit payment recipients for those certifying Sunday. This will also result in a delay of mail delivery for a small portion of unemployment insurance claimants who receive checks.

Credit cards will not be accepted for reclaims those two days. The shelters will resume services Wednesday. Lucky Paws adoption center in Coronado Center will be open 11:30 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday and 11:30 a.m.-7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
