Darren White has not been accused of any crime, or even unethical behavior. The closest thing to this is that he was accused of “interfering” with the investigation of his wife’s accident.
If he is anything, White is a bold, unabashed, proud anti-socialist. Now that will get you enemies because our country is filthy with socialist, communist-inspired unions. I am not pleased with White’s stated reason for stepping down. If White has done nothing more than what the media report he did, that, in my opinion, does not justify his retirement. Apparently the accusers believe that, upon hearing of the accident, White should have simply sat in his office after saying, “Oh, my wife was in a car accident? Well, as DPS director, all I can do about that is sit here and let the union-led authorities take care of it. As a matter of fact, maybe I should resign just for saying what I just said.” If I heard that my wife had been in an accident I would want to rush to her aid to help in any way I possibly could. Of course, I would not do anything to impede the actions of anyone else who I thought wanted to assist her with unique skills which I might not posses, such as medical skills. Any man who would not react in this manner is noncaring and lacks backbone. The leaders of the police and firemen’s unions have publicly stated that White’s position is not needed. They also expressed a vote of no-confidence, whatever that means. I, as a taxpaying, property-owning, small-business-founding resident of Albuquerque, hereby declare myself their check-writing employer. As their boss, I state to these socialist union leaders that their positions are not needed. Let’s not pussyfoot around this; unions are employee gangs formed to extort money, favors and special conditions from their employer. They threaten harm to the employer and the business if the employer does not comply. This is pure socialist class extortion. White is a declared opponent of socialism and that, of course, means anti-union. …To White, I say that I’m not satisfied with his expressed reason for stepping down. To my socialist union employees, I say “you’re fired.”
