Former New Mexico Gov. Gary Johnson won’t be among Republican presidential candidates appearing tonight in a CNN debate televised from Las Vegas.
” I will not speculate as to your reasoning for not allowing me on your stage. I will, though, suggest that there is no rational basis for excluding me, while inviting others whose credentials and polling performance are in no way measurably different than mine – particularly when the news media excludes me from the very same polls that are used to determine participation in debates,” Johnson said in a letter to CNN, posted on his website, http://www.garyjohnson2012.com/front.
Johnson also was excluded from a CNN debate on June 13.
The two-hour CNN debate tonight, excluding Johnson, airs at 6 p.m. MDT.
