Southwest Santa Fe Bus Route Launches

Santa Fe Trails is riding into uncharted (public transit) territory today with the launch of its new Bus Route 26 in south Santa Fe.

The route provides a rather short trip along Cerrillos Road between the Fashion Outlets near I-25 and Santa Fe Place Mall. Stops include the new super Walmart and Kohl’s.

The bus runs seven days a week at 70 minute intervals. Hours are roughly 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, with a shortened schedule on the weekend.

It’s part of Santa Fe’s continuing effort to “better serve the growing southwest part of the city,” according to city officials.

Visit the city’s website at santafenm.gov for more information. Click on “Public Transportation and Parking” in the left-hand column on the home page.
