As expected, hundreds of people have shown up at the Albuquerque Convention Center for the hearing on a proposed Walmart at Coors and Montano.

The company is making its case to the city’s Environmental Planning Commission.

More than 70 people have signed up to speak, which the commission said it would allow.

Walmart says it has a petition with more than 5,000 resident signatures supporting the project. The comment earned laughs from the audience. They were chastised by one commission member and told to go outside if they cannot control themselves.
