Free Massages Offered
An open house for massage therapy services at the Genoveva Chavez Community Center will be held 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday. The center currently has three massage therapists and one reflexologist.
Free 15-minute massages will be offered to visitors Saturday. “We hope the event will remind the community that we have wonderful, talented therapists available at our facility,” said Lisa Gulotta, recreation manager at the Chavez Center at 3221 Rodeo Road.
Benefit To Aid Concert Series
A Music on the Hill Concert Series Benefit will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Feb. 7 at the Santa Fe Bar and Grill, 187 Paseo de Peralta (in the DeVargas Center).
The restaurant will donate 20 percent of the evening’s sales to benefit next summer’s concert series at St. John’s College.
St. John’s tutor and pianist Andy Kingston will join bassist Justin Bransford to provide the entertainment. Restaurant-goers also can enter to win one of two gift certificates donated by Santa Fe Bar and Grill. This event is co-sponsored by Los Alamos National Bank and KSFR.
