Starting April 3, American Eagle will increase its flight load between Santa Fe and Dallas, city officials confirmed Monday.
The airline will offer three daily flights to Dallas and one to Los Angeles.
The airline has reduced its number of Santa Fe flights over the past two years during cold-weather months.
Airport manager Jim Montman said the resumption of seasonal flights is “expected but always nice.”
“It’s important from an economic development standpoint and it’s important from an airline standpoint that they feel our destination is so profitable that they feel they can continue to add flights here when they are actually reducing flights and personnel as part of their (bankruptcy) restructuring,” Montman said.
American Eagle is also adding back some Tuesday and Wednesday flights that were eliminated several months ago.
