As of 4:30 p.m., Interstate 40 at Eubank was back open following its closure for cleanup of a semi trailer truck that started on fire earlier this afternoon, an APD spokesman said.
Cleanup continues after a semi caught fire on westbound I-40 near Eubank, AFD reports.
The semi began to blaze at around 1 p.m. Both directions of the interstate were originally closed. Westbound I-40 is still closed between Juan Tabo and Eubank and is expected to remain close for several hours while diesel fuel and debris is cleaned up.
The semi that caught fire contained frozen meats. The driver was uninjured.

KRQE reports that the interstate will remain closed for hours for clean up.
Drivers are urged to seek alternate routes.
