Four e-waste and electronics recycling events — including one that takes old TVs and CRT monitors for free — are available today in Albuquerque.
Goodwill and Comcast are holding a free e-waste and TV recycling event today from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Goodwill store at 5000 San Mateo NE.
Items accepted for recycling, in any condition, include TVs, computers and monitors, printers, cellphones, personal electronics, small appliances, VCRs, DVD players and stereo equipment.
There is no fee for TV or CRT monitor recycling at the Goodwill site.
A second event is being hosted by Enchantment Recycling LLC from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday at 4121 Prospect NE in Albuquerque.
Items accepted include computers, printers, monitors, cellphones, audiovisual equipment and more.
CRT televisions will be accepted at a charge of $10 each, and flat-screen TVs are recycled free of charge, organizers said in a news release.

And Albuquerque Recycling is hosting two other electronics recycling events today: one from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Sunflower Market, 6300 San Mateo NE, and the second from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Whole Foods, 2103 Carlisle NE.
All electronics are accepted, however, there is a $20 disposal fee for CRT “tube” TVs and a $5 fee for CRT monitors.
Albuquerque Recycling provides free hard drive data destruction for computers with certification.
