Longtime Santa Fe Parks Director Fabian Chavez is retiring from city government.
Chavez has headed the Parks Division since 2007. He also worked for the city as a horticulture and integrated pest management specialist.
The Parks and Open Spaces Advisory Commission is hosting an open house celebrating Chavez on May 15 at Frenchy’s Field Barn. Attendees will have an opportunity to speak about Chavez.
