Watching the clouds as eclipse approaches

People are already lining up for their eclipse glasses at Albuquequerque’s Mesa del Sol as forecasters nervously watch a cloud building over Mount Taylor.

The glasses are being handed out on a first come, first served basis.

Tim Shy at the National Weather Service said the clouds over Mount Taylor are expected to build over the course of the afternoon, which could impinge on viewing from some parts of the Albuquerque area.

Eclipse starts at 6:30 pm, peaking at 7:33 pm. Like I said before, use safety glasses.
