AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. (AP) — President Barack Obama is making his second visit to Colorado in a month starting with a graduation speech at the Air Force Academy near Colorado Springs.
Obama will speak to cadets at the academy this morning. He will appear at a fundraiser in Denver later today.
The president visited the University of Colorado in Boulder in late April.
Obama’s appearance at the Air Force Academy comes days after a NATO summit in Chicago where the U.S. and its allies firmed up plans for withdrawing from Afghanistan at the end of 2014.
Obama previously delivered commencement addresses at the U.S. Naval Academy in Maryland, the U.S. Military Academy in New York and the U.S. Coast Guard Academy in Connecticut.
The president also planned a fundraiser in Denver this afternoon.
