Local officials are making improvements to Santa Fe’s emergency notification system.
In the event of, well, an emergency, residents and businesses can now sign up to get cell phone, email or text alerts from the Santa Fe Regional Emergency System.
The system currently taps into a 911 database of landline phone numbers. To register an alternative communication point, go to SantaFe911.onthealert.com.
