Online videos poke fun at Wiener

County Commissioner Michael Wiener always struck me as the kind of guy who likes a good joke.

So I wonder what he makes of these videos, in which he’s depicted as … a giant wiener. “Wiener” as in hot dog.

The commissioner has been in hot water since late April when a Seattle photographer released photos of Wiener with young women in the Philippines. Wiener said one of the women is his fiancee and that he didn’t do anything inappropriate.

The commission’s Democrats later censured him.

Wiener has faced other controversies over the years, too, such as the sexual harassment investigation referred to in one of the videos above.

UPDATE: Wiener seems to be taking this in good humor. Here’s his statement:

“My only response is that people should remember that I may not really be a GIANT Hot Dog … but … when it comes to getting things done for my constituents I have delivered and I am the only candidate who CAN ‘Cut the Mustard!’”
