Quality New Mexico is accepting applications for the 2012 N.M. Performance Excellence Awards.
The awards, which will be awarded next spring, include: Piñon Recognition, commitment to performance excellence; Roadrunner Recognition, progress toward performance excellence; Zia Award for Performance Excellence, best-in-class results.
Organizations wishing to participate must send in an intent-to-apply form by June 15. It can be obtained at www.qualitynewmexico.org. Applications are due July 20.
The New Mexico Performance Excellence Awards, modeled after the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award, provide participating organizations with feedback on their strengths and their opportunities for improvement. Feedback is based on the time-tested Baldrige Criteria for Performance Excellence, which provides an assessment framework to gauge organizational performance.
The criteria address seven categories: Leadership; Strategic Planning; Customer and Workforce Focus; Measurement, Analysis, and Knowledge Management; Operations Focus; and Results.
Quality New Mexico, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to enable improved performance by New Mexico businesses and organizations, provides training, assessments, coaching/mentoring, and pubic recognition to those who have achieved various levels of improvement on their excellence journey.
