The fire burning in the Bosque over the weekend has remained at four acres, fire officials said.
Officials reported that the blaze is now 100 percent contained, AFD officer Melissa Romero said this morning. The fire was reported as 30 percent contained Saturday night and 95 percent contained Sunday afternoon.
AFD will continue to patrol the area every couple of hours to monitor and extinguish any hot spots, Romero said.
The fire, south of Bridge Boulevard, burned mostly grassland, but torched some isolated trees and tree limbs on the ground.
No structures were affected, and no injuries were reported. The cause is under investigation.
The fire department reminded the public that Open Space areas are in Stage 1 Fire Restrictions, which means no fireworks, campfires, camping, smoking, use of any spark-emitting equipment or open flames.
