‘Dark Knight’ vehicles to make a stop in Albuquerque

Holy smokes Batman!

Some of Batman’s vehicles will make a stop in Albuquerque on Sunday, July 1.

Duke City residents will get a chance to see some of the the Dark Knight’s gadgets on Sunday, July 1.

The Tumbler and the Bat-Pod will make a stop at Astro-Zombies Comics, 3100 E. Central, from 2-3 p.m. Sunday. The event is free and open to the public.

Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures have been touring the vehicles across North America to build up buzz for the July 20 opening of “The Dark Knight Rises.”

The event also offers fans a first-hand look at the vehicles used in the last in a trilogy of films.

The film stars Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, Anne Hathaway, Tom Hardy, Marion Cotillard, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and Morgan Freeman.

Christopher Nolan directed and “The Dark Knight Rises” is based upon Batman characters created by Bob Kane and published by DC Comics.
