Suzanne Aguilar, 47, of Las Vegas, has pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in the March 25, 2011, fatal stabbing of her husband, 48-year-old Michael Martinez, the Las Vegas Optic reported.
Under the terms of a plea agreement, Aguilar will be sentenced to a minimum of seven years in prison and a maximum of 10 years when she is sentenced on July 23, the Optic said.
A charge of evidence-tampering was dropped as part of the plea agreement, the paper reported.
State District Judge Eugenio Mathis accepted the plea on April 30, according to the Optic.
Aguilar, who has been under house arrest, is undergoing a 60-day diagnostic evaluation at the Women’s Correctional Facility in Grants prior to her sentencing, the Optic said.
