J. Crew is expected to open a new store at ABQ Uptown some time this summer, according to a spokesman for Simon Property Group Inc., the shopping center’s owner/operator.
It will be the national clothing chain’s first Albuquerque location. There is already a store in Santa Fe.
J. Crew’s new 4,675-square-foot store will occupy a portion of the space formerly used by Borders, and construction is currently under way at the site.
Signs in the same part of ABQ Uptown also advertise a new store by outdoor apparel/equipment company The North Face, but Simon could not yet confirm the addition.
