Santa Fe to Get Federal Money For Cleaner Public Transit

Looks like the city of Santa Fe has come into a bit of transportation cash.

According to U.S. Senator Jeff Bingaman’s office, the city has been awarded $1.92 million from the federal Department of Transportation’s State of Good Repair Program. The money will be used to buy six 29-foot compressed natural gas buses.

“This federal investment will help ensure that Santa Fe has a safe and cleaner burning public transit system,” Bingaman said in a press release.
