Documentary on Navajo Teens at KiMo

New Mexico PBS is set to hold a screening of a new documentary focusing on Navajo teens in rural New Mexico.

POV “Up Heartbreak Hill” is scheduled today to be shown at the KiMo Theater.

The film follows Thomas, Tamara, and Gabby as they share their thoughts on growing up in an impoverished town on the Navajo reservation. The special screening will feature an 82 minute version of the documentary with footage not to be seen in the broadcast program.

Following the film will be a question and answer session with the film’s director, Erica Scharf.
