Washington, Wahlberg to film ’2 Guns’ in N.M.

Denzel Washington is coming back to the Land of Enchantment.

Mark Wahlberg will begin filming “2 Guns” in late August.

And he’s bringing along Mark Wahlberg.

The two actors will star in the action film “2 Guns” which is being produced by Universal Pictures. The film is based off of Boom! Studios’ graphic novels by Steven Grant.

Production will begin in late August and continue until early September in and around Santa Fe and Albuquerque.

It will employ at least 100 New Mexico crewmembers, 10 New Mexico principal actors and more than 400 background talent.

Washington was last in N.M. when he filmed “Book of Eli.”

Also starring in the film is Paula Patton, Bill Paxton, James Marsden, Fred Ward and Edward James Olmos.
