Santa Fe Gets Third Speed Van

Driving home from the lake on Labor Day, Santa Feans will have to be extra careful. The Police Department plans to officially debut the city’s third photo enforcement speed van on the holiday.

City officials said in a press release that the latest van will be used mostly on neighborhood streets “for the safety of residents.” The other two vans will be located on busy thoroughfares and in school zones.

The city is soliciting suggestions for places to put the speed vans. Call 955-6949, 955-5042 or email Amanda Katz, the photo enforcement program administrator, at arkatz@santafenm.gov.
