Mayor Richard Berry’s administration made its pitch Monday for a $3 increase in basic admission at the BioPark, but councilors postponed action on the idea for two weeks.
Still, the mayor couldn’t have been happy with the reception. No councilor expressed support for the full increase, and several — including budget chairman Dan Lewis — asked some pointed questions about it.
I’ll have more on why the administration says an increase is needed — and why opponents are pursuing other options — in tomorrow’s paper.
