Water Leak Problems at SFCCC

Starting today, the city plans to close off part of the P1 section of the Santa Fe Community Convention Center parking garage to fix problems in the loading dock area.

Water leaks were found two years ago during a routine warranty check by parking garage contractor Cameron-Swinerton, according to city officials.

Since then, the city has worked with parking garage architectural engineer Chavez-Grieves to find a way to fix — and pay for — the problems.

Cameron Swinerton will do the repairs. The company’s $1.45 million contract with the city is being funded by Chavez-Grieves’ insurance.

The closure could last several weeks.
