Public Safety Day at Coronado Mall

Police, firefighters, EMTs, K-9 units, even helicopters and horses will be on hand from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. this Saturday at Coronado Mall for the 15th annual Public Safety Day.

The public safety extravaganza will be held at Coronado Center’s southeast parking lot near Kohls department store, with activities for children and fun for all the family, organizers say.

Come see Albuquerque Police Department’s helicopter, horses, SWAT teams and their DWI and Open Space units, along with representatives of the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office, the Sandoval County Sheriff’s Office, Albuquerque Fire Department, Bernalillo County Fire Department, the federal Defense Threat Reduction Agency, Defense Nuclear Weapons School, and officers with New Mexico Department of Game and Fish and the U.S. Forest Service.
