Nibbles: relish

The double-decker Reuben ($9.50) I ordered off the menu is packed with corned beef, pastrami, sauerkraut and a slice of melted Swiss cheese. It is served on toasted seeded rye.

The sandwich was very good and very tasty, but it was so moist that the toasted bread broke apart in my hands.

Thousand Island dressing was an advertised ingredient, though there was barely a hint of it. So I got a small cup of the dressing to dip the sandwich in at no extra charge. I was glad I did. The dressing had a mild, yet distinct, flavor.

LOCATION: 8019 Menaul NE, Suites E and F, 299-0001
HOURS: 10:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Mondays-Saturdays. There is also a relish location at 1520 Deborah, Suite E, in Rio Rancho

The side I picked was coleslaw. It was creamy and had slivers of Granny Smith apple. What a treat.

To drink I ordered iced tea. I filled half the glass with tropical iced tea and half with premium iced tea. Very refreshing.
