Couple Buys Corrales Real Estate Biz

Corrales Realty has new owners, who are familiar faces to many.

Ann Taylor, of the Ann Taylor Company Real Estate, and her husband, A.C., who owns New Mexico Land, bought Corrales Realty recently. Although the couple has lived in Corrales for more than 30 years, Ann Taylor said the purchase will give them more of a business presence there.

“We are very happy in this community,” she said. “I’m very involved in the village.”

Taylor is a member of Kiwanis, the Corrales Historical Society and former president of Corrales MainStreet. She’s also been a Realtor for 28 years, selling homes and properties around the metro area. A.C. Taylor, she said, specializes in selling rural and horse properties.

She said their expertise was a perfect fit with the realty company. It will also allow the couple to do business from the village.

The office is located at 4313 Corrales Road. Taylor and her husband will relocate there this month. Taylor’s currently based out of Albuquerque, as is her husband.

“This happened pretty quickly,” she said. “The owner was moving to another state and called us up and asked if we would be interested in purchasing the business.”

According to its Website, Corrales Realty was started in 2003 by Greg Walker and Chas and Lauren Skinner. The Skinners sold their interest in 2008, but Walker stayed on until recently.

“I always wanted to have a presence in Corrales,” she said. “I’m going to focus more on the North Valley and Corrales.”
