COURTS
Federal: Closed Thursday and Friday; State District: Closed Thursday and Friday; Metro: Closed Thursday. On Friday the court will be closed to the public but custody hearings will be held in Courtroom 340, beginning with misdemeanors at 9:30, with felonies immediately following. Files will be out for review at regular weekend time, about 8 a.m.
POSTAL SERVICE: No mail delivery Thursday. Post offices closed Thursday.
ALBUQUERQUE ANIMAL WELFARE: East Side and West Side shelters closed Thursday and Friday, but the intake desk and reclaims will be open both days. Credit cards will not be accepted for reclaims on those two days. The shelters will resume services Saturday. Lucky Paws adoption center in Coronado Center will be closed Thursday but open Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Adoption fees for all pets will be cut in half Friday at Lucky Paws. Reduced pricing will be extended to Saturday and Sunday during the Red Carpet Parade of Black Fur. Pick any pet with black fur and receive half off your pet adoption. The special pricing will be available at both shelters and Lucky Paws.
GARBAGE: Regular Thursday pickup on Friday; Friday pickup on Saturday. Convenience centers closed Thursday, open Friday. Office closed Thursday and Friday.
ABQ RIDE: No service Thursday. Operating Friday on a Saturday schedule with no dedicated Rail Runner bus service.
