Note, part 2: I just received a 17th resume, so there’s one more candidate to add.
Bernalillo County commissioners next week are expected to appoint a replacement to serve the remaining two years of Assessor Karen Montoya’s term.
Montoya won election to the state Public Regulation Commission and will be leaving the county for that job.
Here are the 17 people who submitted a letter of interest and resume:
- Diane Beserra, an administrative officer who works in county Public Safety and Animal Services.
- Ambrose Chavez, a real-estate broker
- Rebecca Flores, residential manager in the assessor’s office
- Tim Gallegos, who’s been a national sales manager
- Tanya Giddings, government relations officer for the University of New Mexico
- Jeffrey Harrison, executive director of the Laguna Housing Development and Management Enterprise
- Christie Humphrey, Sandoval County’s chief deputy assessor and a 2010 candidate for Bernalillo County assessor
- Vanessa King, administrative hearing liaison for the city Office of Administrative Hearings
- Ronald Krise, a commercial real-estate broker and consultant who ran for the state House this year
- Irene Serna, the county’s housing rehabilitation and construction coordinator and a former chief administrative officer for the assessor
- Jerry Larranaga, the county’s treasury financial officer
- John J. Martinez, former deputy cabinet secretary for the state Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Management
- Jolene Meadows, a real-estate broker
- Edward Adam Romero, an administrative officer for the assessor
- Gabriel Vargas, an appraiser for Sandoval County
- Carlos Villanueva, a former auditor for the county jail
- George Torres, a real estate broker who ran for treasurer this year
