I called in a to-go order from the menu on the restaurant’s website, www.bistronomyb2b.com. The order was ready for pickup in 20 minutes just as the woman on the phone said it would be.
I ordered from the menu’s “BYOB – Build Your Own Burger” section. I got 2/3 of a pound of medium-rare New Mexico Black Angus beef ($9) topped with two slices of herb goat cheese (add 75 cents). Plus I requested the butter lettuce, a slice of vine-ripened tomato and a few slices of red onion.
The burger came with a nice sized portion of “frites” (French fries) with a small cup of beer ketchup (one of five choices of flavored ketchup) and a second small cup of cole slaw.
When I opened the to-go box, I found that the burger was actually two patties, ideal for me to split with my wife. Each patty had its own slice of cheese. We agreed that the cheese-topped meat was flavorful and delicious. So were the fries, which seemed “fresh” as advertised, though they were soft, not crispy.
