Local Venues Help Provide Christmas Meal For The Needy

A couple of local entertainment venues are partnering with food providers and a food pantry to spread Christmas cheer with a free meal for the needy at the Santa Ana Star Center in Rio Rancho.
Beginning at 10:30 a.m. on Friday ,  free bus service provided by the Santa Ana Star Casino will shuttle folks to the Star Center from a pickup point at St. Felix Pantry.
Staff from Star Center will serve a traditional holiday meal of  turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, vegetables and more prepared by the center’s catering company Ovations Food Services. Food distributor Sysco is supplying the menu items.
The casino has provided publicity and advertising as well as the transportation service.
Meals will be served on a first-come-first-serve basis in the north concourse area inside the Star Center, said General Manager Gunner Fox.

Meal Details:

When: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Friday, Dec. 21
Where: Santa Ana Star Center, 3001 Civic Circle NE.
Transportation: free shuttle bus pickup at 10:30 a.m. at St. Felix Pantry 4020 Barbara Loop NE, Rio Rancho
