Thieves made off with more than $30,000 worth of merchandise, including firearms, in a Christmas morning heist at a Los Lunas Walmart store, KOB-TV reported.
Three people dressed in black, with masks covering their faces, smashed out glass to steal video games and electronics, and surveillance video showed the thieves using a crowbar to pry open the jewelry case and steal cigarettes near a cash register, Eyewitness News 4 said.
Los Lunas Police Chief Roy Melnick said the thieves also stole at least four rifles, KOB-TV said.
Surveillance video reviewed by KOB-TV showed a store security guard parked in the same spot for more than an hour while the robberies were happening inside the store.
Anyone with information is asked to call Los Lunas police at (505) 865-9130.
