Saturday was the coldest day of the warmest year in Albuquerque history

Saturday’s low temperature of 13 in Albuquerque, recorded at 4:27 a.m. at the airport, made Dec. 29 the coldest day of 2012, according to the National Weather Service. (The previous low was 14 on Dec. 20).
