I guess not everyone reads the humor website Cracked.com, but my fiance reads it with striking regularity, and I’ve started reading it as well. It’s funny, although it’s an adult brand of humor so don’t sue me if you follow the link below and get offended. Seriously, please don’t sue me.
As I have blogged before, the national media has picked up my October story about a state police officer tasing a 10-year-old at a career fair in Tularosa. I blogged about Yahoo!’s mistaken report that an Albuquerque police officer did the tasing, leading to a bunch of misplaced anger against APD.
So, the good news (for the Journal’s web traffic) is that Cracked.com has included the tasing incident in a funny story about misguided attempts to teach children lessons. The bad news is that they repeated Yahoo!’s error and attribute the tasing to the Albuquerque Police Department (I’ve sent them a message, so maybe it will update throughout the day).
So, read and enjoy the Cracked.com story, because it’s funny and has some local flavor. But remember that the incident actually happened in Tularosa and the cop was a state police motor transportation officer.
