My wife, my daughter and I each ordered different items at a recent dinner. We all were highly pleased with our choices.
My wife got the Seared Pacific Rock Cod tacos with serrano cole slaw, escabeche (pickled veggies), mango habanero salsa and cilantro ($10). My daughter ordered the Sopa Tarasca. It’s described as a guajillo broth with queso fresco, chicharones and tortilla strips ($8), but she passed on the queso and chicharones.
I took the waiter’s suggestion, opting to split my order. I had one vegetarian taco – savory refried black beans with avocado, grilled calabacitas, queso fresco and cilantro, and one red snapper taco – beer-battered fish with tomatillo avocado salsa ($10). My dish and my wife’s were each served with four corn tortillas so that you end up with four tacos because the servings are so plentiful.

My wife and I also split an order of salty sweet potato fries ($5) and a dessert to die for – Tres Leches Cake ($6).
