Everything You Need to Know About the N.M. State Society Ball in D.C.

New Mexicans who live and work in Washington – and others who traveled to D.C. for the weekend – are getting ready for a big Saturday night in the nation’s capitol.

The New Mexico State Society Inaugural Ball is tomorrow at the Carnegie Institution for Science – a stately old mansion near Dupont Circle – and it is sold-out. Some members of the New Mexico congressional delegation are expected to attend, as well as a couple hundred others. If this event is half as lively as the 2008 ball, attendees are in for a really good time. Food, drinks and live music are included with admission.

For those of you who are going (and for those of you who are just curious), here’s everything you need to know in one handy place. NMSS President Michael Mendoza put a ton of work into organizing this event, so make sure to express your appreciation when you see him tomorrow night.
