UNM Transit Meetings Planned

The Mid-Region Council of Governments is launching a new round of public meetings on transit, land-use and parking in the university area.

The meetings are aimed at identifying and reviewing specific strategies to improve transportation in the University of New Mexico, Central New Mexico Community College and airport areas.

The meetings are:

  • 6 p.m. on Tuesday in Central United Methodist Church, 201 University NE.
  • Noon Wednesday in the UNM Student Union Building, Lobo Room A and B.
  • Noon on Feb. 5 in the CNM Student Resource Center, Room 204.

“By identifying options, this study will take a big step toward reducing persistent congestion and parking issues,” County Commission Chairwoman Maggie Hart Stebbins said in a news release.
