8:57am UPDATE: The University Boulevard off-ramp from westbound Interstate 40 is now shut down as a semi-trailer burns, according to KKOB. Drivers are being urged to seek another way off the freeway.

Black smoke is billowing out of an apparently burning vehicle stopped on the University Boulevard off-ramp from westbound Interstate 40, KKOB’s Joe Gonzales is reporting.
8:38am UPDATE: The crash on eastbound Interstate 40 beneath the Coors overpass has been cleared, and it’s smooth sailing from the accident site all the way to the Big I, KKOB is reporting.
Meanwhile, a new collision is affecting traffic in all directions on Interstate 25 at Montano, KKOB’s Joe Gonzales reported.
8:03am — Traffic Backs Up on EB I-40 at Coors
A crash on eastbound Interstate 40 underneath the Coors overpass has been moved off to the left shoulder, but traffic is backing up all the way to Unser Boulevard, according to KKOB’s Joe Gonzales.
Earlier, there was a collision reported at Coors and Montano, and ABQjournal.com’s traffic mapalso is reporting a disabled vehicle on southbound Coors at Paseo del Norte.
