Male victim hospitalized in South San Pedro shooting

Albuquerque Police Officers responded to a shots fired call at the 1100 block of Madeira Dr. at 12:55 a.m.

According to a report from APD officer Robert Gibbs, officers could not find a victim upon arrival. It was later found that the victim was transported to Presbyterian hospital by an unknown person. The identity and age of the victim were unknown at the time of the report. The extent of the wound was also unknown. The male victim is said to be in critical but stable condition and is expected to recover from his wound.

The APD is questioning persons of interest but it is unknown what their involvement is with the incident. An investigation is ongoing.
