What’s that in front of Lowe’s?

The new building going up along Paseo del Norte (next to Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers) will eventually have two tenants, a Verizon store and dental office. (Roberto E. Rosales/Journal)

So we already know that the city’s first Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers is going up near the Lowe’s on Paseo del Norte, but what about the other new building next door?

It will soon house a Verizon Wireless store and a dental office, according to property developer Mark Tekin.

The building, still under construction, will measure 6,000 square feet with each tenant taking up half.

The dental office should be running by May, Tekin said, while Verizon will open “some time this year.”

Tekin also developed the adjacent 3,000-square foot building that Freddy’s will occupy. He said restaurant should debut later this month.
