Gap is about to shutter another one of its Albuquerque stores.

The Gap inside Cottonwood Mall will close for good at the end of business on Saturday, according to store staff.

Jenna Glick, a local Gap store manager, told me on Wednesday that the clothing chain will not relocate its Cottonwood store and will move forward in Albuquerque with a single location — its newly opened 10,529-square-foot store at ABQ Uptown.

Cottonwood and ABQ Uptown are both managed by Indianapolis, Ind.-based Simon Property Group.

Just prior to the new shop’s January opening, Gap vacated its two storefronts inside Coronado Center.

At the time, a Gap spokesperson said the chain left Coronado as part of a long-term real-estate strategy for the brand.
